Base Requirements
Your building will last a lot longer on a flat, level and square base.
An uneven base puts stresses on the structure of your building and will affect the roof and doors.
If using timber bearers or a timber frame as a base please check the quantity and the size required. Bearers or frames must always run the opposite way to our floor joists.
Buildings 12x8 and larger will have split floors, so extra support must be given at the joints.
If you need any help or advice with your base please do not hesitate to contact us on: 01782 312640.
We can also put you in touch with a base layer.
Fenton Garden Buildings can and will refuse to build your buildings on unsuitable surfaces or bases. If you are not sure or if you require advice, do not hesitate to contact us.
